Sebastian Peake is Mervyn Peake's eldest son and has been involved in the wine trade for many years. Founder of Peake Wine Co, he imports wines under his own label from many countries while also acting as an independent wine consultant. Originally offered a job in 1965 by the head of Germany's oldest family wine firm, he spent time at Schloss Vollrads in the Rheingau. Later Sebastian became more generally involved in the wines of France, Italy, Spain and the US. He was elected Chevalier du Tastevin at the Hotel de Dieu in Beaune in 1983.
